What if I have a pre-existing condition?
The existence of a pre-existing condition (including a prior work-related injury), does not, in and of itself, exclude an injured worker from filing a new claim for a work-related injury. If a pre-existing condition is worsened by, aggravated, or “lit-up” by a work-place injury, that condition is to be considered an allowed condition under a workers’ compensation claim.
